Jordan Valley Park

Jordan Valley Park is the largest park in Kwun Tong District, occupying an area of about 6.3 hectares. The park boasts extensive accessible central lawns stretching across 1 hectare and a variety of garden corners, a greenhouse, children playgrounds and even an outdoor radio-controlled model car racing circuit for both active and sedentary recreational activities suitable for all age groups.

Jordan Valley Park is located at the valley shaped by Ping Shan, Shum Wan Shan and Kowloon Peak. With the nearby housing estates such as Shun Lei Disciplined Services Quarters and Shun Lei Estate, the park blends into the Shun Lei community as one of the go-to places for outdoor recreational activities.
The Bougainvillea Garden comprises of a series of flower beds descending along the staircase into the centre of the garden, enclosed by a half crescent pergola with flowering climbing plants crawling on the canopy, softening the edges of the pergola and adding dabs of colours to the space.
Seating is provided under the pergola for shaded resting areas. The shape of the bench provides seating of different heights for users with different needs, as well as adding a playful element to the space.
Planting beds with seasonal blossoming plants along the footpath infuses the park with vibrant colours.
In the Four Seasons Garden, over 100 species of seasonal plants are planted, intriguing visitors with their stunning blossoms and foliage throughout the year.
The Maze Garden is a series of concentric low hedge segments. Inspired by hedge mazes which are known to have evolved from the knot gardens (i.e. gardens with trimmed hedges planted in geometric knot patterns) of Renaissance Europe, these hedges adds a puzzle-like brain-teaser feature to the park and forms rippling layers of shrubs at eye-level.
Located at the foot of Ping Shan, the park is bounded with an extensive amount of shrub and tree planting at different heights, gradually transitioning from the undisturbed landscape of Ping Shan to the built environment at Shun Lee area.

Small scale sculptures and art features are placed amongst the seasonal plantings throughout the park to create various intimate landscape settings.

A series of outdoor fitness equipment are also provided at the designated Elderly Fitness Area to encourage a more active, healthier lifestyle.
The extensive central lawns provide a valuable opportunity for children to run around and play on soft grass. It is also a popular location for the blooming trend of camping too.
A series of jogging tracks is offered along the perimeters of the central lawns connecting to the outer perimeter of the park, utilising the wide range of areas in the park, providing opportunities to meander through a variety of landscape settings.

The Green House accommodates more than 100 kinds of succulent plants with informational signs introducing the plants species.
The Bougainvillea Garden displays a variety of Bougainvillea species. More than 4,000 plants of around 15 Bougainvillea species are planted in the Bougainvillea Garden.
