For Applicants:

    Applicants shall submit the following documents directly to the Programme Providers before the commencement of programme (for category (1) and (2)) or within one year upon the satisfactory completion of the programme or assessment (for category (3) and (4)):

  1. For study sponsorship application (category (1) to (4)):

    For Lantra Awards recognised under category (3), applicants should submit application directly to GLTMS without programme provider’s company stamp on the application form.
  2. For scholarship application:

    1. for applicants using HKDSE results, before commencement of the programme:
      • a duly completed Scholarship Application Form (in the first academic year);
      • a copy of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination result slip confirming that the applicant has attained 20 total grade points or above in his/her best five subjects (in the first academic year); and
      • a copy of the tuition fee receipt for each academic year.
      For nominees by the Programme Provider, the Programme Provider will provide nomination list and required information to GLTMS.
    2. within six months after the completion of recognised programme:
      • a proof of employment related to arboriculture and horticulture industry (only applicable to final-year applicants).

For Programme Providers:

For programme categories (1) and (2), interested programme providers shall submit a duly completed Recognised Programme Application Form to the Greening, Landscape and Tree Management Section (GLTMS) via e-mail at ufsf@devb.gov.hk. It is not necessary to submit application for programmes under categories (3) and (4).

The GLTMS accepts applications throughout the year. Programme Providers shall submit their applications in advance to avoid delayed commencement of their programmes. The GLTMS will issue result notifications within one month after receipt of the complete set of application documents submitted by the Programme Providers.

For scholarship nomination, Programme Providers are required to develop their own selection criteria and mechanisms to the satisfaction of the GLTMS for nomination of high-calibre students attending recognised programme for scholarship in each academic year. The GLTMS will notify the Programme Provider the number of quota for scholarship to be allocated for each academic year.
